Welcome

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Nordic Congress of Ophthalmology (NOK) we would like to welcome you to Reykjavik June 9th -11th 2022.

The congress will be held in Harpa, Reykjavik´s spectacular conference and concert hall, located by the harbor in Reykjavik center.

The program overview is available on this website. Iceland’s unique location between Scandinavia / Europe and America will join together leading ophthalmologist from both sides of the Atlantic ocean. Retina International World Congrees (RIWC2022) will be held at the same time and venue as NOK2022, making this a unique opportunity in ophthalmology and research.

Reykjavik Arts Festival will take place in the first two weeks of June. The festival is a biannual multidisciplinary festival with a special focus on new commissions and the creative intersection of the arts. It presents, to the widest possible audience, exhibitions and performances of contemporary and classical works in major cultural venues and unconventional spaces throughout the city.

Last but not least, the unspoiled nature of Iceland is here to welcome you.

Venue
Harpa, the beautiful concert and conference centre features the best conditions for conferences in Iceland. It is conveniently situated at the harbor in the heart of Reykjavík and within walking distance of the city centre with shops, restaurants, art galleries and a vibrant night-life.

Along with the social programme such as the welcoming reception and the conference dinner, participants will have the opportunity to visit Iceland‘s most spectacular attractions, including geysers, waterfalls, volcanoes and glaciers.

Travel to Iceland
Iceland is only 3-4 hours from mainland Europe by flight, and 5-6 hours from the East Coast of North America. A number of international airlines operate flights to Iceland year round from various cities on both sides on the Atlantic.

NOK 2022 and RIWC 2022 held together

The NOK 2022  will be unique as this will be  the first time the Nordic Ophthalmology Congress will take place at the same venue and  time as the RIWC 2022, The Retina International World Congress.

  • 31 March 2022 – Deadline for early-bird registration
