Welcome

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Nordic Congress of Ophthalmology (NOK) we would like to welcome you to Reykjavik 4-7 June 2020. The congress will be held in Harpa, Reykjavik’s spectacular new conference and concert hall, located by the harbor in downtown Reykjavik.

The congress program is still preliminary, but we aim to put various issues in focus. Iceland’s unique location between Scandinavia / Europe and America will join together leading ophthalmologist from both sides of the Atlantic ocean.

Reykjavik Arts Festival will take place in the first two weeks of June. The festival is a biennial multidisciplinary festival with a special focus on new commissions and the creative intersection of the arts. It presents, to the widest possible audience, exhibitions and performances of contemporary and classical works in major cultural venues and unconventional spaces throughout the city.

Last but not least, the spectacular, unspoiled nature of Iceland will be there to welcome you. We are looking very much forward to seeing you at a cutting edge scientific congress, the NOK congress in Reykjavik, 2020.

Best regards,

Gunnar Már Zoega
